It is hard to believe a whole year has passed since that appointment and now it is time for a check up on her back. We truly enjoyed watching all the new skills she learned this year as she worked hard in gymnastics. Please pray for her x-ray and check up tomorrow. I am praying expectantly that God has begun to reverse the curve in her spine.

Waves of Mercy, Waves of Grace
Last year we found out Karly has Scoliosis and we had to have her see a specialist and get x-rays. We were concerned with that diagnosis and wondered whether they would allow her to continue participating in gymnastics with the curve that was developing in her back....however, they told us at that time that gymnastics would still be a good idea because it would strengthen her core and her back and that may help to reverse the curve or keep it tight enough so it would not curve more. That was a huge praise and so was Karly's attitude. When we talked to her about the curve in her back and explained the possible consequences and what may happen if it started to curve a lot more while she has big growth spurts through adolescence she just decided to call the curve in her back her waves of mercy and waves of grace :P Sometimes our kids say the most PERFECT truth!
