One of the biggest lessons as a parent is learning to lovingly rebuke and discipline our children.  I struggle with the "lovingly" part sometimes if I lose my patience, but whenever I need to offer words of correction or a consequence, after I think of the ways God has and is lovingly correcting me and disciplining me.    It truly is because of His great love that He cares to continue working with us at all and perfecting, purifying and refining our character into His image.

I am thankful for His mercy, His patience, and His loving discipline.
