For we are God's masterpiece, He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

We get to celebrate five baby dedications today at church and I don't think we are even celebrating the triplets yet :)  God has really been blessing our church with new life.  It is so easy to see these brand new creations and marvel at the work of God....to give Him glory and praise for the masterpiece of these adorable little bundles. WE LOVE NEW LIFE, RIGHT?! 

I don't know what age we are when we start having difficulty believing we are His masterpiece....maybe it is just unsettling to us that we are unfinished at the end of the day and we fear we may be abandoned or discarded when the Master turns His attention to a new work, but it is good to be reminded of the way God sees us.  He is NEVER finished with us....His plans for us were made in advance of our creation and He has promised to NEVER leave us or forsake us....no matter our age, we are still HIS masterpiece because we are being made in and into His image....every trial and test makes us beautiful through our identity with Him in His suffering...our chance to be made new.
