Dr Rollin McCraty has worked to study the relationship between the heart and the brain and the power of each. His research shows.."the heart generates the largest electromagnetic field in the body...the electrical field is about 60 times greater in amplitude than brain waves. The magnetic component of the heart's field, which is around 100 times stronger than that produced by the brain...can be measured several feet away from the body."....I wonder how they measure that....WILD!...right?
Anyway, the brain and the heart are super powerful....it is so weird that these masses of flesh can affect us so greatly!....And that God would choose our heart as His dwelling...WOW! Sometimes they battle each other and that is probably good because one without listening to and being influenced by the other would probably (...my brain shouts, "NO DOUBT") lead us down a destructive path. But, imagine the power and the goodness there when we are completely surrendered to GOD ...the power of the heart, in agreement with a sound mind, infused with the power of the HOLY SPIRIT! Incredible!
When the brain and the heart are battling over an issue....it causes us anxiety....that is the moment we need to surrender the fight by raising up a cry for help....don't think I am an expert on this...I am often surprised by the battles in me and how passionately I will run into the battle before I realize peace comes through surrender.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
