Surf's Up

Today was super-duper fun!  We had a whole day at the water park with all the girls and everyone had a blast!  I love the slides, lazy river, and hot tub and had fun with all the girls taking turns on each ride, but I tried the Flow Rider for the first time ever and it was awesome!  I wish we could get one for our yard!  If you haven't tried it, it's like this wave of water that you boogie board on.  Here's a picture:

Yeah, NO....there will not be a picture of me doing it...not today.  You have to sign a waiver to ride it and as I watched others taking their turns I started to understand why.  I got all the girls to try it except for Kassi, but they wouldn't do it a second time.  For my first time down I had some instruction from the lifeguard and I did pretty well keeping my balance and learning to lean each way to stay in the middle, so for my second time....I was like, "I got this!"  And.....I did NOT "got this"....that time ranks up there as one of my more embarrassing moments (not inappropriate, just crazy funny)...which I am blaming on GOD because I think it was his April Fools joke on me :)

We'll just say...

 Whatever, it's just good when we can laugh at ourselves and I have been laughing about that almost all day since.  Brad was great at it and even learned a couple tricks.  He learned to throw the board out in front of him, catch it and regain his balance and he learned to do a barrel roll pretty successfully.  I wanted to learn the barrel roll sooooo badly, but it was very difficult to throw yourself into a twist when the water was that forceful.  Maybe next time...yes, there will be a next time.
