Let the games begin :) Kassi thrives on this kind of energy!
Karly, ROCKIN' the speed crawl....she always finds the window and squeezes through it.
Danielle, ready for her relay...she doesn't "live" for competition, but she had a good time participating and I am really proud of her because, even though this isn't totally her thing, she is getting in there and being a part of her team.
McKenna, in the middle of a bean bag relay.
Peek-A-Boo with Lillianna! If you ever hire Savannah to take pictures, you will probably end up with some random pictures...she loves babies and little kids :)
McKenna and her friend, Kady, getting ready for the three-legged race.
Kassi and Danielle were a team for a three-legged race. They did incredibly well until the very end. They fell as they turned the corner to knock over their pin. They were both laying on the floor, but Kassi was closest to the pin, so she did this amazing stretch from where she was on the floor to push it over with her fingertips. They didn't get first place, but that run and amazing stretch at the end deserves a slow motion replay :) FUN TIMES!
Then, I had to run to get some groceries, but stopped by K-Mart for a quick errand and realized they were having a huge shoe sale :) Everything was Buy 1 Get 1 for $1...even their clearance items, so I called Brad and said, "Quick, inventory everyone's shoe needs for summer....flip flops, sandals, and check out the state of their current tennis shoes" I knew it wouldn't take too long since we just cleaned out all our closets. I ended up buying 12 pairs of shoes for under $100...I get really excited about sales!....GUESS WHAT!....I SAVED MORE THAN I SPENT....HA! The guy at the checkout laughed when I pulled my cart into his lane piled high with boxes of shoes. I thought, should I keep quiet and let him believe these are all for me? Nah, I'll tell the, "I have five daughters" story.
Then, while I picked up our groceries, Brad made sure all our bikes and helmets were in working order from being stored all winter and loaded them up to take them to Falling Waters Trail. Only, Savannah and McKenna want to run in a Color Run close to Mother's Day and they want me to run with them.....hmmmmmmm.......me, run? I have not agreed yet, but I did attempt to jog a mile and a half today on the trail. I didn't do too badly for my first time running....I'm still alive, but I need a lot more training to build up to a 5K...oh, my goodness!
When we got home, all the girls grabbed the kite and played out in the yard. While I made dinner, I could watch all five of them taking turns running around the yard with the Princess kite. I was delighting in watching them, THANKS GOD, I just happened to really like this day.....a lot! Sometimes moments are too much, you know? It's good though, when blessings are what overwhelm us!
