Kassi came to help me rake for a while, and then Brad came out after dinner to load everything I had cleared out of the flower beds and along the retaining wall onto a huge tarp so we could haul it into the woods and dump the leaves out. This is the time of year where I walk around my yard just looking at it with my hands on my hips and Brad says, "UH OH!" a lot because he knows I am mapping something out in my head. I have some ideas for our side yard, but it involves the removal of a few trees, bringing in soil and leveling/reseeding the whole thing, some landscaping, a little fencing, a beautiful arbor, installing a fountain....AND then hiring a string quartet to play Canon in D :)
Yes, I am still on the wedding garden idea. Every Spring I think about it again. Why not? I have a husband who is a pastor and I have 5 daughters... who also have lots of friends....I have a lot of tomorrows to believe in :) Why not create a wedding garden? Who cares that I have never been a GREEN THUMB, I can learn to do this, right? I have this theory that even if the whole,"if you don't kill a plant...and then if you don't kill a pet....you can raise a child" thing didn't work on the way to having children....it will probably work in reverse, right?
If I can accomplish this, I'm ordering this cake :)
