The BIG, Big House

One of the greatest heartaches in life is to be separated from one you love deeply...whether that is because of death or other various reasons.  I always ache for military families because they willingly live out this heartache of separation because of their commitment to put a higher calling above their personal happiness.  I think this example of sacrifice is why I am so overwhelmed every time I witness a military family being reunited.

One thing about the scripture I posted today that I really treasure is that Heaven is a real place, but it is also designed for the sweetest relationship (I guess that's two things :).  Jesus describes it as a place to go with Him, then adds the ultimate reason...for us to be together with Him.  In the meantime, we all battle to be faithful to our calling....but this fight will be more than worth every moment compared to that incredible reunification.

For this, I am so grateful!

"Come and go with me to my father's house".. :P
Yesterday, I was singing this song in my head all day because The Big House turned into "It's a Big, Big, House" in my mind...

(some lyrics aren't typed correctly in this video, but I couldn't resist choosing this one because it was created by someone who goes by the alias....Special Forces (I don't know this person, but that title definitely made me smile after I was thinking about military families)....plus, the video includes the words, "scream TOUCHDOWN"...one of my favorite memories of singing this song :)
