We do this thing with our girls on their birthdays...we either let them have a party or give them $10 per year old they are turning...or some combination of those two things if we come to an agreement on the cost :) Anyway, this year Savannah mainly wants the money, but she asked us to bring 5 pizzas and a whole lot of cupcakes to her school at lunch so she could hand them out to friends. She was so funny when I picked her up after school. She was telling me all about who ate pizza and cupcakes with her at lunch and she "casually" mentioned one particular boy....she tries to throw his name into conversations real nonchalantly so I won't notice...but, I will notice...you know what I'm saying, right? In her world, he's no ordinary boy. I said, "Oh, so you offered....(No, I'm not saying his name)....some of your birthday treats?....how'd that go?"....She said, "It was really awkward, mom!" "Why is it always awkward?" :P "He said, "Happy Birthday""....and I just said,
"Thanks."
