Oh, The Bliss Of This Glorious Thought

I love the way this is written....like someone is starting to tell you something, but a BURST of excitement bubbles over first...

"My sin - oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! -
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is (not was, BUT IS) nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

There is a newer song too....it is a similar concept that we can be in the middle of very trying times and still have peace if our eyes are on Christ.  I especially like the part that goes,

"The waves and wind still know His name"
Sometimes I forget that even my greatest struggles or fears must obey His voice.... They do not have power over me if I am focused on Christ.  Whatever my current mountain is....WILL MOVE if I have faith.  I never really thought much about that, but I just realized something.  The mountain may not crumble, BUT it will move to allow me to pass by and see it from the other side....that means I GET PAST IT....NOT THAT IT DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE....BUT IT DOESN'T STAND IN MY WAY OF MOVING FORWARD TO THE PLACE WHERE GOD WANTS ME TO BE.

That picture up there, let's pretend that is the view of our mountain from the other side :)
