Sometimes I Just Smile and Nod

The conferences went well for our older two.  I think it's weird to have them so early in the year because they really haven't had too many assignments yet.  Anyway, both girls are doing really well, so we didn't have much to discuss.....EXCEPT...Brad totally threw me for a loop with a conversation he decided to have with one of the band directors.  This year Western Schools are employing two brothers as their middle school and high school band directors and we always laugh at each football game when they are on the field together and the band starts playing RADIOACTIVE because the brothers always start headbanging to the song.  Anyway, it has become one of our weird delights and we started talking about ordering custom bobbleheads of the brothers.  Last I knew we were going to do it AS A SECRET, but as we were talking to one of them about Savannah's grades Brad proceeded to explain to him what we were planning to do and asked him for permission to take pictures all the way around his head....I cannot even stop laughing.  I have no idea what we will do with them when we get them...probably ask them a bunch of yes/no questions that we hope to have answered with a YES...hehe!  No, I think we may use them for a band raffle to raise some money for them.  I hope everyone else thinks they are as funny as we imagine....but, even if not, the memory of Brad asking them for photos of their heads tonight was priceless.  I will definitely include photos of the bobbleheads when they arrive.
