A Resolute Access To My Abba

I love these pictures!  I was reminded the other day by one of my devotionals that GOD is my daddy, my Abba.  Yes, He is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, supreme commander of the entire UNIVERSE, etc...etc......but, to me, He is my daddy because I place my complete trust in Him.  We are all created in God's image, but only those who believe in Him and confess that He is Lord are adopted into His family and given a right to call Him, Abba.  I don't think we consider how much of an extreme distance the bridge that Christ built for us takes us.  We were enemies of God, but now we are children of God.  Not just like a friend that you tell your kids they can start calling Uncle so-and-so.

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God -- John 1:12

Because of His love for me, He shares all He has with me.  That means the whole universe and beyond is my playground :)  But, it also means He will guide me and discipline me when needed...that's also part of being His child.  It is hard to fathom being able to call the ONE TRUE GOD my dad and comprehend sharing in all the wonders and inheritance of Christ.

Yet, it is true!  I may not understand it all from this vantage point...because it is so amazing, but I KNOW I am loved and I know it is a privilege to have resolute access to Abba's loving arms.
