What About Lunch?

Brad emailed..."Lunch Plans?" It's getting to be the time of year when I need to make a call to Santa in order to give him the "inside scoop"...he's always watching, but he does like to have some consultation with parents in order to make his final decisions, at least that's been my experience.  That's why saying, "I'm gonna tell Santa!" is accurate....I mean, if he didn't want our input, why would we say that?  So, Brad and I always have kid status update lunches before we call Santa.  Today was one such appointment....at the Crazy Cowboy.

When I arrived at the restaurant I scanned the whole place for Brad, told the waiter I was looking for my husband and took a seat at a booth where I could see both doors so I would know when he arrived.  They brought me some chips and salsa and I was happy :)  I waited for a while and NO BRAD....I checked for my phone to text him and realized I had left it at home.....DOH!  I thought he probably had someone stop by the church and he got gabbing with them for a little longer than he expected.  In the meantime, these two waiters were looking at me weird and I kept feeling a little self-conscious.....I checked my scarf, my shirt....discreetly checked my nose....haha!  Then, I saw Brad slowly walk up to my booth.  We both said, "What are you doing?" at the same time.  Both waiters were laughing!  We had both been in the restaurant for quite a while waiting for each other at a different booth/table, but didn't see each other....ha!  One waiter had approached Brad and said, "there is a lady over there that says she is waiting for her husband....and since you are waiting for your wife, we just thought maybe".....shrug?  They were really worried that if we were not together they were going to make that TOTALLY AWKWARD for us :)  I SOOOOOO WISH I HAD ACTED LIKE I DIDN'T KNOW BRAD JUST TO GIVE THEM A SHOW :)  But, it is a great way to get two baskets of chips....unintentionally, of course :)  Otherwise, that would be one of those "breaking the rules" things.
