If You Are Looking For a Lament, Look Elsewhere.

I'm still reading Francine Rivers' Book, Redeeming Love.   I stopped reading and came out to the dining room tonight.... Me: "I'm really mad at Paul!"....Brad: "What?"....Me: "He's a fictional character from my book." Brad: "O...kay...?"  The book has officially drawn me in :)

(I said I want to learn to fold pages like this and Brad said this is photoshopped....really?)

I am feeling the contrast she is wanting to portray between Michael (who represents Hosea....who ultimately represents GOD) and the brother-in-law, Paul, who knows Michael has married a prostitute and takes every opportunity to belittle her for her past sins....he shows her no mercy...even when she is trying to turn her life around....which makes it that much harder for her to trust....which makes it that much harder for her to be transformed....which makes it that much harder for her to experience freedom from the chains of her past.  Anyway, tonight I am thankful for the mercy that I have been shown throughout my life and grateful that, because of that great mercy, I can also offer it to others.

Isn't it interesting that this verse comes from Lamentations?  Where's the lament?  I demand a lament!
...kidding!
