Karly had an early morning practice....she is doing very well with her vault and almost has her floor routine nailed down....now she just has to focus on her beam and bar routines to get them solid before her first meet in February.  It is fun to see her improving and remaining dedicated to this pursuit.  I am also thankful for her coach who really challenges her but is patient with her as well.  Karly was lacking the component of the back handspring and today she was practicing it in the basement and got it.....SUPER EXCITING DAY!

Kenna had a cheerleading meet today and their team came in 3rd place....that is the best the team has placed so far so the whole team was pretty pumped!

And....Brad was officiating a funeral for Kassi's teacher's family who lost their mom, so he left before us to get ready and then we all left the cheer meet a little early to make it to the funeral.

Here's a funny side story.....Brad was in a hurry to get to the funeral home from the cheer meet and he had grabbed his suit and tie out of the closet this morning and just brought it so he could change quickly at our church (which is just a short distance from the funeral home).  When he got to the church to change he realized his pants were not on the hanger with his suit coat and tie...OOOOOPS!  He started to panic because it would have taken him too long to drive to Parma to get his pants and get back.  Then, he remembered that a man who works at the funeral home had the same suit as he did because of a previous funeral he had done (he gets calls a lot to do funerals, so he knows the funeral directors pretty well)....so he called the man to see if he could borrow his pants.  The man said, "I'll get you some pants"...."You just get yourself here!"  :P

The funeral service went very well.  It was a wonderful memorial of her life and celebration of the love and the hope we have in Christ.  Plus, I think God was doing more with that connection then we even know right now, but time will tell that only when God reveals it.
