When God Speaks

I think sometimes we forget how powerful receiving a word from God is.  Maybe we think more often about things like LIGHT bursting into existence with His spoken word, or planets....the seas, birds...swarms of insects, but what about things He wants for us...isn't His Word still as powerful?  

Sometimes we say, "Maybe the pastor will have a word for me from the Lord today"...like, oh wouldn't that be interesting if it were so :P...I know, I've been there too.  The difference between us and every other thing God has spoken into existence is that we are the only ones who are able to resist Him....we do not have to receive the transformation He is creating for us and in us.  We are able to reject Him and His Word.  

BUT, if we receive His Word for us....

For instance,...if He speaks JOY to you, don't you think you will experience it in amazing ways?!  That's why it is joy unspeakable....there aren't enough words to keep up with the way it bubbles over.  And JOY is just one of His Words.

His Words to us, if not refused, INFUSE us with every good thing! 

I'm pretty sure He has a Word for you.

It is possible....even probable really, that the word He has for you is your own name.  What is so powerful about your name?  Why do you like it when it's on a Coke bottle?....COME ON! YOU KNOW THIS....because it belongs to you and you belong to it.

When God says your name HE proves this to you as well....HE IS YOURS and YOU ARE HIS!
There are many things that can make our joy bubble up, but that is the source!
