Practice Compassion

I decided tonight would be a good night for us to experience food like the young lady we are sponsoring through Compassion and spend some time praying for her, so the girls made dinner for me while I mowed the yard.

The menu was beans and rice, kiwi, strawberries, plums, apricots and water..not sure how authentic that would be compared to what would really be eaten in Guatemala.  The girls wouldn't let me use silverware :P  They were very excited to be in charge of this dinner.....this is how they were waiting for me when I came inside.

My plate.....We talked about third world problems compared to our own and Karly was so struck by the fact that many people don't even have clean water.  We should never assume our kids know these things.....it is so good to talk about them together.  Karly wants us to save money to give people clean water :)
