The Best Kind Of Patient

Karly's appointment went very well.  The Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon evaluated her, tested some different muscle groups, and said she was one of the best patients.  She said Karly must have a very good Pediatrician to have even noticed it at this point :)  (KUDOS to SUE from Jackson Pediatric Associates!)  She asked Karly if she has any hobbies or things she likes to do for fun....I thought "Here we go....now is when we are going to hear if she can or cannot continue participating in gymnastics"...she told us she doesn't have any concerns at this time that would require limiting Karly's activities, so gymnastics is fine...(that was a relief!)  I had a couple plans for what I was going to say if the Dr said no more gymnastics....I'm glad I didn't have to unpack any of those possibilities. She said she would like to monitor Karly once a year just to keep an eye on it, but it is very mild and may not progress any further.

Just another lesson in learning to....

...and be the best kind of patient....waiting on GOD for the answers.

Karly being hugged by the blood pressure machine...

After the appointment Karly asked, "Can I have a doughnut now?"....Kids always know when we are at our weakest, right?!  There was a lot of construction around the hospital so we had to take a slow detour through town and we rounded a corner to see a big sign in front of us that said "BAKERY" :P
