There's this song that gets stuck in my head whenever I hear it and I hear it a lot at my office because of the music that plays in our lobby...

I was thinking about what I would do with a time machine. I guess my first thoughts would prompt me to go back to a time I regret that I would want to change....how I treated someone...how I handled a situation.....that's kind-of interesting to me because I could relive some fun time again or go to some really unique time in history to either experience or influence it or fast-forward into the unknown to see what the future holds (I'm not in a big hurry for that, though :)...I don't know what the "survey says", but I think most people would use it to right a wrong they personally wish they could alter.
There is time travel, but it only goes forward :) We can't GO BACK and RUN from something we have already encountered, but we can learn from the past and MOVE ON...and we should pack light. Yes....there are two meanings to that...gotta love when something can have dual meanings :) First, don't try to carry all your shame and regret...you probably won't make it very far and you will be miserable....plus, how will you see where you are going?
....maybe you think you need it all...that it somehow defines you or you just don't deserve any better, but that is a lie....it will be so refreshing to lay it down and unpack it before the Lord. Listen to these wise words:
"Do not dilute the power of this new day with the hardship of yesterday. Greet this day the way it has greeted you; with open arms and endless possibility." ~Steve Maraboli
No matter what it is, God will take your shame and regret and give you something much lighter.
Like.....drum roll please......LIGHT!
It is amazing to travel light :) But the only way to pack light is to be in it.
Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not travel in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12
and in Matthew 5:14-16,
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on it's stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Instead they put it on it's stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
