We received a HUGE praise report today that our friend, Chris, is cancer free!  :) :) :) and many more smiles....plus some crying at work.  I love the "randomness" of each day....really how God orchestrates it all!  Doctors could not find a bone marrow match for Chris, so they had to try using marrow from a cord blood/marrow donor .....a baby who's marrow and blood is not fully developed, I guess.....that way it could merge with his without much trouble or resistance (that was the hope).  Sometimes I am explaining stuff like this and I just wanna be like the blind guy who says, "I DON'T KNOW...all I know is I was blind, but now I see!"  I love that response best :P  Anyway, Chris was told the healthy donor marrow took over all his bone marrow cells....not one of his is still present....isn't that wild?! HOW CAN IT BE?....RIGHT?  A MIRACLE TO MARVEL OVER!

TRANSFORMING POWER!

About the same time I learned that awesome news, a friend stopped in at work who just had a baby two weeks ago.  She works in my office and was showing off her baby girl.  I was holding the baby and she fell asleep (I am that boring! :)  Anyway, my friend said I have the "mom touch" so I ended up holding her for a while because no one wanted to try to take her away from me for fear that she might start crying for them.....in those moments of swaying with her I was thinking about the fact that some little baby out there doesn't even know that they donated life to my friend, Chris....which led me to think about the moment when Simeon held Jesus and knew that He was the long awaited Messiah....can you even imagine knowing what that man knew and being able to hold it in your arms?!
