The Right Place To Take The Best Shot

I got to go on an adventure tonight :)  So, after at least six years of being in a tiny office, Brad finally gets to move to a larger space.  He is excited and I am excited for him!  We have been planning how he wants it arranged and what he wants it to look like.  He wanted to put a couch in it now that he has enough room for that so we were discussing what he might want for a picture over the couch and we finally came to an idea to put a large picture of downtown Jackson on the wall behind his couch....maybe a panoramic picture or several shots in a sequence.

I talked with my friend who is a photographer about the idea and showed her some samples I had found of the concept we would be wanting.  Then, I said, "hey, what are you doing tonight?"  She responded, "Why did you ask that?"  I asked her if she wanted to find a place to take some cityscape pictures of downtown Jackson....she said, "How will we get high enough?"....I said I would go with her and create a distraction so she could sneak to the roof of a building....haha!  Anyway, we did meet downtown with four of our kids and we found a parking garage with 4-stories to an open-air roof which another friend had suggested....thank you, Christy!  We climbed the stairs with all our kids and didn't know what to expect for the view.  ISN'T IT AWESOME WHEN WHAT YOU ARE HOPING FOR IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES?....I was a little giddy with the view....like the giddy where you are laughing and clapping your hands in front of your face, but making no sound :P....you know that kind, right?! ....(Did you just act that out?)

We took a bunch of pictures of Jackson as the sun was setting.  I loved them, but even if Brad is not fond of the dusk/evening pictures, I now know a place with a great view and can go back in the daylight hours :)  That was super fun and A GORGEOUS NIGHT!  Here are some of our photos:

I really like this panoramic view.....I might want to go in the daytime and see if I can get another good one like this :)....hmmmmmm.....so much to decide.

The kiddos were happy we treated them to McD's afterwards :)
