Savannah said at chapel there weren't enough chairs for everyone so a counselor asked if there were a couple gentlemen in the room that would give up their seat for the girls. Two young men stood up and all the girls said...."Awwwwww"....guess what happened next.....:) All the guys who had remained seated decided to stand too.....welcome to the first day of High School Camp, Savannah....(I told her a while back that boys start noticing girls in High School...and she thought she would NEVER be noticed by anyone) ....she thought that was hilarious...that would have been fun to witness!
Apparently a boy was trying to start a conversation with Savannah so he said to her, "how come I haven't seen you yet?".....she told him, "because I am a Ninja!" (When she told me that, I was soooo PROUD!)
(Please don't be offended by this one....it is a story about a complete misunderstanding.) Savannah also told me one of the girl's moms in her cabin had just started texting....so she had texted her to let her know her grandma had passed away and she ended the statement with LOL (I do not vouch for the complete validity of this story, it kind-of sounds like one of those CAMP STORIES :)...but it is amusing).....apparently, the mom thought LOL means lots of love....(oh, goodness!)
Not that I am an expert on abbreviations and I do not text often....just not in the habit of it. If you are just starting to text, here is a table for you to memorize :) HTH (hope this helps)
FMTYEWTK? (Refer to the text message table for that one :)
I am glad they all had so much fun....I remember my camp days....silly stories, games and pranks (and boys). Tonight we are just doing crazy amounts of laundry so we can pack again for the Unity Music Festival...getting excited about camping with the girls and some of our youth group kids!
