Cowabunga Dude!

Cowabunga Dude!... is in honor of the Main Stage sponsor for Unity Fest....Country Dairy!  (Plus, I hear the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Movie is out now....so, that too....BONUS :) I thought, you know, I could start this blog with stuff about my favorite artists that we were able to worship with at the festival, but who ever remembers the sponsors that make things like that happen?  SO, Mooochas Grass-ias!

We saw the cow mascot at one point when we were all walking around and one of my daughters said to the cow...."Hey, we're drinking your milk!" :) (that was Fosterrific!)

We had a great time at Unity Music Fest with our family and some of our Village Hope Church youth group....I think I will have to take a trip to Ireland to hear some more of Rend Collective....WOW....so much energy....and such powerful messages in the lyrics!  Brad said he would consider it....I'm crossing my fingers....don't tell him they are coming back to Michigan in September because I'd like that Ireland trip too...and right now the two are linked in his mind :)  No unlinking people!

The girls loved Jamie Grace, One Girl Nation, Britt Nicole....etc....etc...we pretty much had someone standing in line for autographs after every artist....it was either standing in that line or the line for the bathrooms....I still don't think it is quite fair that I have 5 daughters....think about that people.....do you know how many bathroom trips I have had to supervise in my life?....haha!  I know....I know....count my blessings....got it!

I thought it was fun to hear All Things New and Everfound...we actually got down to the stage for a few of the groups and jumped around a little bit :)  I GOT SPLASHED BY EVERFOUND'S DRUMMER (and the crowd goes wild!) I thought it was pretty cute that some of the posters from the concerts found their way to our tent windows...NO TIME TO WASTE!

Others joined Jamie, but she was the first :)

Feelin' "Just Ducky" waiting for Third Day

Brad and I were blessed by a couple from our church who brought their SUPER DUPER NICE CAMPER up to Grand Haven for us to stay in while we attended the concerts....so, I can't really say we were "roughing it" :)....nor can I say that Brad would like to make his summer home there....but, the trees were actually quite lovely :)

THANK YOU, FRED AND CONNIE!

Today, we took our group to the beach in Grand Haven....finally feels like SUMMER!

I added a SUMMER filter to these pics.....let's call this set VIEWS FROM MY CHAIR....I was a tad bit lazy at the beach :)

I did ask for a Beach Wave perm....and today Karly looked like she got one too! It is so funny to me that God gave me one child that is a mini-ME :)

Always love goggle pictures :)

Brad says nothing tastes better than an ice cold Pepsi on a very HOT day :)

I did leave my chair to walk to the Pier....that felt good....the wet sand....never dry sand....that does not feel good.  I am very weird about sand on my feet!

Doh! Stop growing up!

This is our sand princess....wanted to be buried in it the whole time :)

Ready to run to the water?

See...I told you....she was in the sand more than the water...and this makes her happy?  YEP!  I could not do this.....unless I was being paid lots of money and knew a shower would immediately follow.

Ahhhh...this is the LIFE!

So, we had to miss the last day of Unity Fest because that would have just been too late to try to get back to Jackson with the youth if we would have waited until Stephen Curtis Chapman was done singing...alas....I resolved not to cry that it is over, but to smile that it happened....I learned that one from Dr Seuss....smart man!

I wanted to hear Stephen Curtis Chapman's song....Glorious Unfolding....which he is probably singing right about NOW....but, I get to live it....this IS just the beginning of the beginning :)  God has such an ability to whisper into our hearts and send us on incredible adventures....wait....Stephen Curtis would say....The Great Adventure....shhhh....listen......
