It's weird, when I took the Five Love Languages quiz all the types of love languages are about equal for me except for Acts of Service....it is my lowest score. I know that is somewhat opposite of how the quiz is supposed to bring your highest score to the top. I don't know why I don't see service as love as much as the others. I appreciate it, but I tend to gloss over it in my mind as things that Brad and I both have to do to manage our daily routine with a semi-big family. We both have our roles and responsibilities and I don't always see all he does as love and care as much as I see it as tasks and duties....BUT, IT IS LOVE AND CARE and I am trying to train myself to change this perception.
Like, yesterday was his day off and he spent so much time working on getting the leaves cleared out of our yard. I worked a half day, so I was able to help when I got home....and, when the older girls got off the bus and saw us making long rows of leaves in the yard, they knew what they would be doing as well :) I'm so good at noticing when things are not getting done, but I want to be more intentional to be thankful for the daily stuff that Brad and the girls do willingly to keep us all on track.
Tonight, I am incredibly grateful that Brad is LOVING ME by doing the grocery shopping (something I normally do) because I have come down with a nasty head cold.
I need Baymax....my own personal Healthcare Companion....just kidding.
I am satisfied with my care :)
We took the girls to see this today...
IT WAS VERY SWEET! I would recommend it!
