I left work at 5:45pm yesterday and it was totally dark! I was looking at the clock in my van thinking, IS THAT THE RIGHT TIME? Then, I thought...I am moving my bedtime UP! This is the season where I hunker down with some good books and fall asleep early. Mom recently gave me Francine Rivers, Redeeming Love and I am about half-way through it now. I read it once before when I worked evenings at Agape Booksellers, but it is so deep and heartbreaking....the story of the book of Hosea set in the Wild West during the Gold Rush.
I saw this sign and thought it was perfectly the way I feel sometimes when I finish or have to stop reading for a little while....don't you always gasp and search for someone who is right there with you?
Don't you think the book of Hosea is grippingly humbling? I mean yes, it is the story of Hosea....and it is a parallel story of the way God has shown love to Israel....BUT, is it not the story of how God loves me?
Though I have given Him so many reasons to abandon me, my merciful God has come to find me AGAIN and AGAIN.
