Brad's mom came out to watch her as well and we all went to lunch along with her accompanist, our pastor's wife, Abigail. While at lunch, I found out the Amish family we met a few weeks ago (when we went on the two-horse open sleigh ride) finally decided on a name for the baby calf that was only a day old when we were there. They decided to call her Heather....HAHAHAHAHAHA! That is so funny to me. That is definitely a first....I have never had an animal named after me...I guess I never really considered Heather to be an animal type of name. I suppose it is a privilege....it has had me laughing a lot today. Now I want to see that cute little leaping calf again....I still can't believe they are calling it Heather. Hilarious!
Then we had to hurry from Onsted back to Jackson to make it in time for the four younger girls to get to their ice skating lessons...only one week left for those....they have come a long way in their confidence on the ice. That has been so fun for me to watch! The lessons were a Christmas present for them, but I have been so thrilled to watch them have fun learning new stuff....I was thinking today, it was kind-of a present for me too. A friend of mine's daughter is also taking the lessons and she and I were talking about a movie we both used to LOVE to watch....The Cutting Edge....we were saying we are definitely living vicariously through our girls letting them take lessons when we always wanted to be famous ice skaters and live out that movie....."TOE PICK!"
Yep...watched that soooo many times :)
And, Karly's nail fell off....I know that sounds gross, but we have been waiting for this ever since she broke her finger on November 13th, so this is big news in our family and hopefully the nail underneath with grow back well and that finger will heal completely normal. It has been so irritating and sore for her for that top nail to be loose and rubbing against the one that was growing in underneath, but we had to be patient and wait for it to come off on it's own. We are definitely thankful for that portion of the healing.
