I'll give you this.....it does have a frame. You might think a painting that famous would have an exquisite frame, but I read a critique of it and this is what it said, "Much like the painting itself, the frame is understated. It bears designs, but not extravagant flourishes." ~Koyel Bhattacharyya
What in the world am I talking about? Right, it's late and maybe I should stop thinking and sleep, but I think this is important, so I will get it all down and check it over in the morning to see if it is still as fascinating to me.
We are like frames. My part of history leading to the point of my salvation and even my walk with Christ since conversion is a framework for the MASTERPIECE of the gospel. WOW! The gospel is the magnificent work that I display. What if I took you to the Louvre only to show you the frames?...part of me really wants to do that.....I mean Audrey says, "Paris is always a good idea". Indulge my weird mind, I'm taking you on a short tour...
Boy, that was fun! And, I am sure there is a cafe near here with bagettes that are tres magnifique...shall we go admire their silverware?! Who pays attention to the frames when there is such an incredible work of art on display....well, besides the maker of the frame, of course...not many others :)
Anyway, here's the thing....I like digging into words or messing with them a little bit, I like reminiscing silly things my kids or my husband have said to me so I can taste the silly a second time, I really like trying to put down into words things I think God is teaching me....sometimes I can't get the words to say what I mean. But, all of this is just a frame and that is as it should be.....the wonder in it all is that it is a frame that gets to HOLD THE PRICELESS WORK OF ART!....AND, by holding it, the frame becomes a part of this MASTERPIECE!
Someone should frame that!
