Don't Stop Believin'

Karly had an opportunity to try-out for an intermediate gymnastics class today.  It was kind-of a big deal because you have to be invited...we had discussed Karly's interest with the coach because she has already had two years of beginner gymnastics and we weren't sure we wanted to have her in that same class for a third year when we think we have seen good improvement (I guess we are THOSE kind of parents.....now that I think about it...yep, I want an Olympic GOLD :).  The coach said she had considered Karly for the class already, but she was concerned about whether Karly could focus because she is younger than most of the other girls that are invited...plus, the class is an hour and a half and there is some conditioning time included.  Coach said she could go tonight....try it out....and we could talk about it.

Karly did GREAT.....she loved it....even the conditioning parts....she has amazing pull-ups!  She has this "fearless" quality to her.  She'll try anything!  Most people shy away from things they think will cause them pain, but Karly tumbles toward them....I think it is because she can actually imagine herself doing it.

There is this weird barrier we can set in our minds that affects what we can accomplish.  If we cannot see ourselves succeeding, we usually don't venture past that mental blockade.

Anyway, Coach said she did great and she asked Karly if she wanted to join the class...
What do you think Karly decided?  Would you believe she said YES? :)
