1. 2. I picked one of my girls up from school early because she wasn't feeling well and as we traveled home behind some very slow farm equipment she said, "Mom, it's weird that when someone is in the hospital, but the hospital workers don't know their name....they call them John Deer".....I laughed and said, "Oh, I think you mean they call him John Doe".....she said, "Right....but, a doe is a deer"....haha! Where do they get these things :P
3. I attended a baby shower over the weekend and as a party favor we all got to pick out a bath bomb. Have you seen those on Facebook? Pretty cool...haha! Anyway, I picked one that smelled like peppermint because it was just like the smell of peppermint ice cream....which I really do crave at Christmastime. I was excited to use it and wanted to watch the bomb go off when I threw it in the tub. After it completely filled the tub, I got in....but it felt like the water was freezing......even though I ran a really hot bath. So, I learned something new....mint oils will make your skin feel cold regardless of the surrounding temperatures. Very interesting fact, but not so great a reality for a hot bath. I am still shivering :)
