I helped Karly with her class valentines tonight.  She has these emoji valentines and you attach the sticker tattoos with emoji faces....some of the faces have heart eyes :)

After a while of teasing her about her super vigilant selection process, I asked her why she was being so concerned about which valentines the boys got (I would have been the same way, but really wanted to hear her answer) and she said, "Last year I was lazy with my valentines....I just did the next one in the pile....but then I had to put up with....ooooooo, Karly likes you!.....from a bunch of boys"...."Not being lazy with valentines again!!!"

"She Gave Me A Pen"

Yesterday I decided to clean out my purse.  I was going to a concert, so the thought of my purse tipping over in one of those stadium seats and spilling out entered my mind...plus they always have to look in your purse for security reasons when you enter....so if you have a cluttered purse you have to wait longer for them to check it..... (I have a tendency to mentally walk through potentially embarrassing life situations)  Maybe I shouldn't do that....it would make life a lot more interesting. :P

Anyway, it had been a while since I cleared it out.  I had a ton of grocery lists and receipts packed in there....and, with a family of seven, I get all those extra print-out coupons.....people actually start laughing when they are in line behind me and I am waiting for the machine to quit printing the coupons because it is a really long and awkward wait and I usually am apologizing to the people that they picked the line with THIS LADY :).....lately I had been shopping and could never feel a pen in the bottom of my purse to check off the items on my list because all I ever felt was paper.  I thought I didn't have any pens left in there.

I dumped my purse out and there were sooooo many pens in the bottom....my girls were making fun of me.  I tried to dismiss that quickly and get on to another topic, but Kenna said, "Oh no, we have to count these....!"  There were 36 pens in the bottom of my purse.  At that point, what can you say?!

So, if you need a pen....

I realized last evening that Kassi was too old for the Daddy Daughter Dance this year and too young for the school dances.....but, really, who is too old or too young to JAM, ya know?!!!!!

I put an invitation to Winter Jam in the freezer for her to find when she made her waffles :)  I had boxes to check YES or NO to a Winter Jam date with mommy.......

She quickly found a pen and checked YES!

Lookie who was on the screen when we walked in :)  We were up so high we were level with the screen and Kassi said, "My legs are really stiff and I don't feel so good.....I don't think I can be up this high!"  I get that....I too have some fear of heights.....so we found a very nice usher who located us two seats on a lower level......and we had to find some ear plugs for Kassi because it was really loud for her ears.....HOWEVER, once we work those kinks out, she had a GRAND time!!!!

New Song with ARISE MY LOVE......AWESOME!!!!

I am a Tenth Avenue North fan.....love their music....so powerful!

We shared a frozen pink lemonade and Kassi wanted to check to see if our tongues were pink, but not so much :P  I see she left a glob of icee on her tongue for this picture...haha!

That look in her eye is the...."I know Britt Nicole is coming up next!" look.

It's late, but I have to remember to tell Kenna that Britt Nicole's dancers did the Coffee Grinder dance move....we were just discussing that yesterday.

It was a wonderful experience and I am glad Crowder gave us all an opportunity to join in worship at the end....that was a sweet time!

When I picked up Kenna.....we surprised her and her boyfriend was with me to take her out for custard at Culver's  :)  Her school would not allow the kids to invite students from other schools, so this was a good way for them to celebrate her first dance.  I think there were like 5 families at Culver's who stopped to tell her how beautiful she was....one was a 4-year old boy and Josiah said he was going to have to start fighting them off.

After we got home....she came into my room and sat on my bed with me.....after a little while she said, "Mom, my hair was on point tonight!".......yeah, that burn on my finger.....totally worth it!

Having fun getting some girls ready for their dances tonight :)  This is Kenna's first dance and Vannah's dance is a masquerade theme....I have always wanted to go to a masquerade.....I think the masks are so gorgeous!  Fun to photograph too!
